Elements Weekend ‘Water’
29th September – 1st October 2017
For the first time, the Beavers will be joining us for the whole weekend and taking on our Water challenge. During the weekend, the have the opportunity to develop their skills of investigation, observation and exploration with a programme packed full of activities to suit even the most curious, energetic or crafty Beaver!
During the weekend, the Beavers will visit Colne Valley Park to take part in treasure hunts, pond dipping, a mini beast hunt topped off by a duck race. A picnic lunch is provided and the Beavers can then enjoy exploring before being taken back to PACCAR for an afternoon of even more activities and excitement.
The Beavers will spend the rest of the day making boats, conducting fun water experiments and making a Mini Beast motel before refining their Scouting skills by learning some knots, laying and following trails and then joining the Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and Network for our All Sections campfire!
The fun doesn’t end there though! On Sunday, the Beavers will enjoy a morning of adventure and will have the opportunity to crawl through tunnels, play in the adventure area, try out crate stacking and then go crazy with some wet n’ wild games. Beavers will be working towards 3 badges during the weekend which will presented to them at our closing ceremony.
